The 67,000 Square Foot Candy Factory Building dates back to 1917 and it was constructed using reinforced concrete for the walls, roof and floors. Additions to the building utilized steel framing, brick and cinderblock.

.: Notable Historic Uses of the Building :.

In 1917, the Ferguson Carpet Company operated the building as a textile manufacturing facility. After approximately thirty years, it was converted for use as a Candy Factory by the DeWitt P. Henry Candy Company. Later E. H. Brach & Sons, Inc. (Brach's Candies) continued the tradition of operating the building as a Candy Factory for many years thereafter. In 2005, The Candy Factory Building was converted into a multi-tenant community.
